City of Geneva, ICVolunteers a booth
This year, the 17th annual Geneva Music Festival will take place June 22nd through 24th, 2007. The "Village of Associations" will host 50 booths within the Music Festival area, held by non-profit organizations. Each year, food and refreshment booths are set up for the numerous visitors attending the Festival. The purpose of the organizations must be to promote cultural, social, educational, humanitarian or environment causes.
ICVolunteers is this year again among the organizations to have a booth. The benefits will be dedicated to our "School Project", among other things for the students of the Lycee of Fogou, in Conakry, Guinea.
To set up and run the booth, ICVolunteers is looking for two coordinators, and about 30 volunteers to be part of the project team for the Festival itself.
Tasks for Coordinators (from the end of May to the end of June 2007):
Booth preparations
Contact organizations who have participated previously
Contact suppliers and arrange purchasing
Manage a team of 30 volunteers
Prepare a questionnaire for volunteers involved in the project
Host a thank you party
Manning the booth
Set up the booth
Supervise the booth during the 3 days and nights of the festival
Close the booth
Manage the cash register and receipts
Final Report
Redistribute equipment and unused stock
Finalize project accounting
Submit a report
Qualifications
Be fluent in French, good knowledge of English
Have the capacity to manage a team
Be able to work under stress
Have a good sense of priorities
Be able to work autonomously
Be diplomatic
Have team spirit
If possible, have a car
Required Experience
Have one year of experience in the hotel or restaurant industry
Have some accounting experience
Have experience in starting projects
