Project details

The "Association du 1er Décembre Lémanique" was created in 1997 as a non-profit making organization. It is composed of professionals active in the fields of health and social action, members of local authorities and anyone wishing to offer their support to people directly affected by HIV/AIDS, whether personally or through their family or friends.

To generate funds and awareness of World AIDS Day, the Association instigated the distribution of "solidarity torches" in six Migros shopping centers in Geneva and in the neighboring Canton of Vaud. This yielded positive results, which will enable the Association to support vital health promotion projects, both in Switzerland Africa.

Volunteering Opportunities

To distribute "solidarity torches" on 27th November 1999. To participate in the "Solidarity March" of 1st December 1999.
