On April 24th the General Assembly of the Mediterranean - Mare Nostrum Federation was held in  the Anteneu Barcelonès in Barcelona.

This entity promotes synergies between nations non officially recognized as such bordering the Mediterranean sea.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the 2010-2014 work plan. The event was followed by a press conference with International Observers (Quebec, Corsica, Sardinia, Euskal Herria, Kabylia, Sicily, Flanders and Puerto Rico).

Mr. Antoni Abad, a visiting professor at Stanford University (California) gave a lecture on "Ruling under the Consultation Law," and recognized that the law has enough loopholes, which explains why the Spanish government will never recognize the independence of the Catalan people. Finally, Mr. Jaime Vallcorba, deputy chairman of Cercle Català de Negocis presented and documented the topic: "Is it feasible to have an own State?â€

ICVoluntaris-Barcelona provided interpretation services to all attendees and speakers from and to Catalan and English.
