Project details

ICVolunteers will provide English-Arabic interpreters to ensure the smooth running of the 2012 Minorities Fellowship Programme, organized by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

The programme will provide 10 selected fellows the opportunity to learn more about the promotion and protection of minority rights, as well as the OHCHR, and the UN system as well give them an opportunity to attend the 5th session of the Forum on Minority Issues.

This component is intended primarily for persons belonging to national or ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities who are Arabic speakers and do not have a sufficient command of the English language to benefit from the English language programme.

Among the fellows of the 2012 Minorities Fellowship Programme are participants from Jordan, Algeria, Syria, Cameroon, Colombia, India, Kenya.



Short Term Projects

ICVolunteers promotes volunteerism and its recognition, by enhancing civic commitment and involvement, and by providing leadership and links between organizations, individuals and communities. With this perspective, ICVolunteers develops projects and leads initiatives.
