Project details

The European University for Volunteering (EUV) focuses on research linked to volunteering and the volunteer sector. It was first established in 1993 and is a travelling university, taking place every time in a different European city.

The aim is, on one hand, to map the current state of research on voluntary work, especially but not only in Europe and also to contribute to knowledge transfer and exchange between theory and practice.

The 7th European University for Volunteering took place from 9-12 September 2014 in Aachen (Germany) and Rolduc (The Netherlands).

This year's University focused on the topic of “Europe of citizensâ€, which depends on the vivid exchange of ideas about civil society as well as the importance of civic and community involvement in each country individually.

Role of ICVolunteers

ICVolunteers created the website for the EUV Association. ICV's director also presented a workshop on the topic of cybervolunteering.

Short Term Projects
