The Development and Cooperation Office of the Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences and Arts, in collaboration with the FGC (F茅d茅ration Genevoise de Coop茅ration within the FEDERESO) and with the SSI (Service de la Solidarit茅 Internationale du Canton de Gen猫ve)
Institutions and organizations working on development are focusing more and more on sustaining and promoting 鈥淐apacity Building鈥 at individual, professional and organizational level in developing and transitional countries.
Switzerland is well known for its professional education system. Therefore, Universities of Applied Sciences and Arts (UAS) and Universities of Teacher Education as well experimented institutions in all domains of Professional Education, In-service Training, Applied Research and Technology Transfer, can and want to play a stronger role as reliable and competent partners for: International and local NGOs, Bilateral Agencies, UN Organizations and Institutions in developing and transition countries. The event aims at helping us 鈥淏ridging the Gaps鈥, between UAS and the multiple actors, here and over there, working together for a more sustainable and fair world.
As one of the speakers of the event, ICV's Director, Viola Krebs, spoke about cybervolunteerism and capacity building.
